At Mohamed Sathak Hamid College of Arts and Science for Women, the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) works to ensure that every student, faculty, and staff member experiences a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.

The ICC functions as a confidential redressal body to prevent and address incidents of sexual harassment. It aims to create a campus culture grounded in dignity, safety, and gender sensitivity.

We follow a zero-tolerance policy towards sexual harassment. The ICC upholds confidentiality, fairness, and empathy throughout its proceedings, ensuring that every voice is heard and respected.

When to Approach the ICC:

• If you experience or witness any unwelcome physical, verbal, or non-verbal conduct of a sexual nature.

• If you need guidance or support regarding your rights and safety on campus.

• If you wish to seek advice or lodge a formal complaint confidentially.

What the ICC Does:

• Receives and resolves complaints with fairness and sensitivity.

• Organizes workshops, campaigns, and counselling sessions on women’s safety, gender sensitization, and empowerment.

• Ensures privacy and protection against victimization for all parties involved.

• Recommends preventive and corrective measures to strengthen campus safety.

Composition of ICC

All complaints and proceedings of the ICC are handled with the utmost confidentiality. Any act of retaliation or victimization against a complainant, witness, or ICC member will invite disciplinary action.

The Internal Complaints Committee of Mohamed Sathak Hamid College of Arts and Science for Women is constituted under the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, and the University Grants Commission (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal of Sexual Harassment of Women Employees and Students in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations, 2015.
