Health care centers on college campus are important because they provide students with access to medical care, mental health support, and health education. They also help students maintain their physical and emotional well-being. Apollo SHINE was launched in Mohamed Sathak Hamid College of Arts and Science for Women on 26 December 2024 to provide basic care and medical services to students at the college campus. It operates with a qualified staff Nurse who is available full time during college hours. More than 100 students have benefitted from these so far. Both students and faculties can avail the benefits from Apollo Shine at no cost. Comprehensive on-campus first-aid and emergency services are available with fully equipped health rooms. Free medication and medical assistance are provided. Treatment is given as per the recommendations of certified Doctors through telephone conversation.
