Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC)

Training Programme

Hygienic Herbal Product

Resource Person: G.Valli, Master Trainer, Sri Sindhu Herbal Sanitary Napkins

A special training programme was organized for students on the topic of Herbal Sanitary Napkins, led by Special Master Trainer Ms. Valli. The session aimed to equip students with practical knowledge and skills related to the preparation and use of herbal sanitary napkins, promoting both health and sustainability. Ms. Valli, with her expertise in the field, provided detailed and hands-on training to the students. Students were guided step-by-step through the preparation process, where they learned about the natural ingredients used in herbal sanitary napkins and how to assemble them hygienically. The training was highly interactive, with students actively participating in both the theoretical and practical segments. The programme concluded on a positive and enthusiastic note, with a heartfelt vote of thanks to Ms. Valli for her valuable contribution.

Women Entrepreneurship Skill Training on Convenience Food

Resource Person: Mr.Ruban Kumar, Central Government Cooking Trainer., Five Star Hotel Chef, Chennai.

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell, in collaboration with the EDII Alagappa University Hub, organized a Women Entrepreneurship Skill Training Programme on Convenience Food from 03.10.2023 to 13.10.2023. The objective of this programme was to empower women with culinary skills that can be transformed into entrepreneurial ventures.

A total of 12 students from MSHCASW actively participated in this training session. The programme was led by Mr. Ruban Kumar, a reputed Central Government Certified Cooking Trainer and Five-Star Hotel Chef from Chennai. His extensive experience in the culinary field added great value to the training.

The training focused on the preparation of various fast food items such as Fried Rice, Noodles, Popcorn, Panipuri, and many more popular convenience foods. The sessions were designed to provide hands-on experience and practical knowledge, enabling the participants to understand both the cooking techniques and the business aspects of food entrepreneurship.

This initiative proved to be highly beneficial for our students, as it not only enhanced their culinary skills but also motivated them to explore self-employment opportunities in the food industry.
